New Life Ayahuasca provides all-inclusive ayahuasca retreats in gorgeous Costa Rica. We offer 5 and 7-day retreats, with either 2 or 3 traditional ayahuasca ceremonies. All our ayahuasca retreats are accompanied by additional holistic modalities such as yoga, and nature therapy. We have partnered with a facility that focuses on giving back to nature, restoring soil, reforestation, and eco-practices.
Matthew and Jeanae, our skilled ayahuasqueros lead each participant through the ayahuasca experience through songs called Icaros. Matthew drinks ayahuasca with the group at every ceremony, so that he can adjust the flow of the ceremony to match the energy of the room. This is an essential element of being able to hold the space responsibly. Additionally, every ceremony is supported by 2 additional facilitators- one female and one male.

Experience a transformative ayahuasca retreat in Costa Rica with New Life Ayahuasca. Our year-round all-inclusive ayahuasca retreats provide a unique opportunity to explore healing and self-discovery through traditional ayahuasca ceremonies, plant medicine healing workshops and integrative yoga classes.
CEREMONIES
The goal of the ceremonies and our ayahuasca retreats is to create a therapeutic atmosphere that encourages each participant to explore and journey within themselves, confront the darkness, and embrace the light. It is only through this duality and embracing all parts of ourselves that we can truly know ourselves and find balance.
Matthew and Jeanae lead all of our ceremonies with the assistance of 2 other facilitators. Matthew has been involved with plant medicine since 2011, first with Iboga in Mexico on HBO's VICE and then again in Costa Rica. In 2014 he and Jeanae felt called to work more intimately with ayahuasca and started traveling to Peru, completing plant medicine dietas under the guidance of their teacher, famed shaman Don Ron Wheelock. Together they have participated in hundreds of ceremonies and have evolved into strong and compassionate ceremonial facilitators. They strives to create a safe healing environment for all our participants.
Our ceremonies are based on the Peruvian traditions, are performed in darkness, and are guided by Icaros, or medicine songs. Each ceremony begins with cleansing rituals to prepare the space. From there, the night is guided through Matthew's powerful Icaros along accompanied by a variety of other instruments. Ceremonies last about 3 - 4 hours.
Matthew drinks the brew at every ceremony with the group so he can navigate the energy of the room. Jeanae and Jason are always there to assist as non-participants.

The ayahuasca Costa Rica retreat facility was designed to blend into the environment that surrounds it. Each of our 10 cabins was built with wood harvested directly from the 9-acre property. Our pool and cool water jacuzzi are nestled amongst local flora and fauna. We receive regular visits from macaws, howler monkeys, caotis, and iguanas.

Ayahuasca is generally considered to be safe when used properly, however, there are known risks associated with its use. The primary concern is interactions between ayahuasca and other medications which could many adverse effects, even death. We do not take this responsibility lightly.
